ChargePoint - Cryptic Location Names

ChargePoint is using cryptic Location Names in its app, unlike all other network operators in Canada. For now I have been replacing those code names with more user friendly ones, but I am not sure if it is in line with the best practices at OCM. Here are two examples:

OCM-111029
ChargePoint app: ERTH CORP GODERICH DCFC
New name: Goderich Tourist Information Centre

OCM-270127
ChargePoint app: CCC1 GRAND BEND L3
New name: Torched Brewing Company

I think that using human friendly Location Names makes it easier to actually find those chargers. And the original ChargePoint code names are still provided in General Information section, so they are available if needed.

I have found a better solution: keep the original ChargePoint code names intact and optionally add descriptive names in General Comments section. So the first example from the previous post will look as follows:

OCM-111029
Location Name: ERTH CORP GODERICH DCFC
General Comments: Located next to Goderich Tourist Information Centre

This will keep the Location Name format consistent in the entire database. It does not make sense to change it in just a few locations that you decided to edit manually for some reason.
