I’m wondering if getting the current in-use connection status of a charging station would ever be possible with OCM or would that typically only be available through the providers own network?
It would be technically possible - all we need to do is maintain an cache of last reported states however it requires a data sharing relationship with every EV charging network in the world, which we don’t have - we don’t have a relationship with any EV charging networks really. We have tended to find in the past that most large networks are uninterested in giving us the data without attaching caveats regarding it’s use and interpretation, I suspect that’s because they don’t want to to analyse/publish network reliability info.
